# AI crawler analytics (coming soon)

> Coming soon to Gensiv: see when GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot visit your site, which pages they read, the errors they hit and which pages get cited.

## What is AI crawler analytics?

AI crawler analytics records the visits bots like GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot make to your site: which pages they request, how often and with what errors. It is coming soon to Gensiv, which will connect those visits to the AI answers that cite each page. Citation tracking is live today.

Coming soon. Every plan already includes prompt tracking, citations, Reddit and content gaps, from $29 a month, with a 7-day trial.

## Every AI crawler visit, page by page (coming soon)

Visits by crawler, the pages each one reads most and the errors that block them, connected to the answers that cite those pages.

- **Real-time tracking** (coming soon): See which pages AI agents read, cite and recommend, as they visit.
- **Citation analytics** (coming soon): Tie every AI crawler visit to the answers that cite the page.
- **Error tracking** (coming soon): Catch the 4xx and 5xx errors AI crawlers hit before they cost you citations.
- **Optimization insights** (coming soon): Get page-level fixes that help AI crawlers read and quote your content.

## Until then, see the pages AI already cites

Citation tracking is live: every domain and URL AI answers cite for your prompts, with position and trends.

- **Cited domains and URLs**: See every domain and page the answers cite, split by source type and engine.
- **Position of every cited URL**: See where each cited page sits in the answer, by engine and over time.
- **Citation trends**: Spot the domains that gain or lose citations from one week to the next.
- **Content gap analysis**: Map your pages against AI answers to see the questions you never answer.

## How AI crawler analytics will work

1. **Connect your site**: Connect your CDN or host so Gensiv can see requests from AI user agents.
2. **Sort the crawlers**: Visits are split into training crawlers, search crawlers and fetches made for a user's question.
3. **Spot what blocks them**: Errors, redirects and slow pages that AI crawlers hit are flagged per page.
4. **Tie visits to answers**: Each page shows its crawler visits next to the AI answers that cite it.

## Frequently asked questions

### When is AI crawler analytics coming?

It is in development and has no public date yet. Book a demo to see where it stands. Citation tracking, which shows the pages AI already cites, is live on every plan.

### Which AI crawlers should I look for in my logs?

OpenAI uses GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot and ChatGPT-User. Anthropic uses ClaudeBot and Claude-User. Perplexity uses PerplexityBot and Perplexity-User. Google-Extended is a robots.txt token, not a separate crawler.

### What is the difference between a training crawler and a user fetch?

Training crawlers such as GPTBot collect pages for future models. User fetches such as ChatGPT-User load a page because someone asked a question right now, so they are closer to a citation.

### Should I block AI crawlers in robots.txt?

Block a crawler only if you are sure you do not want that engine to read or cite you. Blocking search and user fetchers usually removes your pages from those answers.

### How can I check AI crawlers today?

Search your server or CDN logs for the user agents above, and test key pages with JavaScript turned off, since many AI crawlers do not run scripts.
