How we measure
Citations you can trace to an answer
Every citation count comes from a stored answer, so you can always check the source.

Captured with the answer
Cited links are extracted from the same run as the answer, along with their order.

Classified
Each URL gets a content type and a source type from a fixed taxonomy, so counts stay comparable month to month.

Counted per period
Usage share and change are computed against the previous period of the same length.

Matched to your domain
Citations that point at your website are counted separately as your own citations.
